So I know I said I wouldn't be back until Monday, but when I received Nikole's blogger's favorites list I just had to post... It's. That. Lovely... Like an early birthday present to me! Nikole's blog, Forty-Sixth at Grace is one of my absolute favoities. I love her unique poetic posts, and her photos are dreamy and gorgeous and make me want to jump right into her life (or at least be the receipiant of one of her cupcake deliveries or one of her lovely handmade wooden spoons...)

ten favorite things,
i smiled
because it really is,
just my sort of thing.
but, i wondered
how i could possibly choose only ten.
i found though,
when i sat down to write,
it sort of came naturally.
you see,
i like things,
well designed things
and words,
well written words.
and moments
moments that create smiles.
the kind that somehow turn easily to memories.
think the pause
just before a kiss
or those fits of uncontrollable laughter,
that i know you've all had
with your very best friend.
in these ways
all my choices
while small in themselves
make me smile.
each of them different
but, equally loved.
starting with things,
and ending with the moments.

a perfect coat for winter
especially with a beautiful bow
i have just the one.

a package in the mail.
one with all different sorts of stamps,
and pages of letters inside.

a pretty print for my wall
one with letters i like.
#4
a leather change purse.
complete with a little pull.

a light leather bag.
i would have happily added
this one to my collection.

a perfectly small bunny,
one to hug
with silly soft
floppy ears.

a perfect pair of heels,
ones that look
just right
with
grey wintery tights.

a perfectly chocolate cake
especially for breakfast.

a day at the ocean,
favorite book and hat in tow.

and finally my most favorite of all
a trip on a plane.
