Not so much the forced expressions of love via pre-written greeting cards or braving a restaurant on the actual day, which is a bit of a nightmare...but the chance to create a little heartfelt token, to gift your beloved with something special, to surprise your girlies with heart shaped pancakes on valentine's morning...that I like.
This year, despite the spending hiatus, we'll still get little gifts for the girls, probably a couple of books + I always get a giant box of See's dark chocolate bordeaux for the entire family, (it's really the most amazing candy ever...)
Bryan asked me what I wanted the other day, and I requested a fantastic home cooked meal (he's an amazing cook) + he's going to finish glass "fronting" the cabinets in our kitchen (a project that's been on hold for almost a year) because there's really nothing more romantic than a little DIY, no?
