Long ride for a Bald Eagle

Eagle Optics recently assisted raptor rehabilitator Dianne Moller in transporting an injured Bald Eagle from Alaska to Wisconsin. For the moment Dianne named the bird “Glacier” but students at Milton Middle School are holding an essay contest to give him a new name. Glacier experienced 25 hours of travel and 12 hours in layovers, which Dianne said was “a very long time, too long.” Unfortunately, Glacier was blinded in one eye from being covered in oil. Dianne said she would continue to update us with his progress.
